A 3/8" grind is a good choice for the first grind before finishing up through a fine plate, or for a coarse ground finished product such as chili meat. The hubbed plate design helps to stablize the plate, reducing wear and also allows for easier removal. The plate diameter is 3-1/4 inches with a 7/16 inch center hole. There is one notch on the side of the plate that fits to the plate holder pin in the grinder housing.
