how much weight will this support? i need something that will hold beef halves
Answer
This hook would be good for up to around 100 pounds, a little short on capacity for a beef half. I would also prefer an 8 inch hook over the 6. The 1/2" diameter 8 inch car hook would be a good choice with a weight capacity of up to around 700 pounds. Unfortunately they are on back order. I do have a 3/8 inch diameter x 8 inch car hook that should be good for up to around 300 pounds.
